The following are the Young Port Moresby Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s Membership Criteria
2024
LOCAL RESIDENCY OR BUSINESS
Members should reside or conduct business within Port Moresby or the greater NCD area.
PROFESSION OR INDUSTRY
Members should be final year students, professionals, entrepreneurs, or individuals working in specific industries or fields that align with the Young Chamber’s vision.
AGE RANGE
Members should be within a specific age range, typically between 20 and 35 years old. While associate members (mentors) are above this age.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Members should demonstrate a commitment to community involvement, volunteering, or civic engagement
LEADERSHIP POTENTIAL
Members should exhibit leadership qualities and a willingness to contribute actively to the Chamber’s initiatives and activities.
INTEREST IN NETWORKING
Members should have a genuine interest in networking, building professional relationships, and collaborating with other young professionals, students and entrepreneurs.
RECOMMENDATION OR REFERAL
Prospective members could be required to obtain a recommendation or referral from an existing chamber member or another reputable source.
MEMBERSHIP DUES
Members should pay annual dues to support the chamber’s activities and operations that lapse end of every calendar year.
